Personal Interests--and my personal views of each

Chess http://www.uscf.org--this is the Official Page of the US Chess Federation
Chess is a game for two and while it may look like just another board game, it isn't. People actually do make a living out of this truly respected lifestyle. While I am not so much in love with chess, I do play it often. Especially online.
Golf
Golf is a cool SPORT. Yes, peoples, golf is considered a sport. In some ways, it's just as dangerous as football and/or baseball. I mean after all, the only equipment the players wear is a polo shirt and khaki pants. Not a helmet, or whatever. And the golf club, nice, sturdy stick of steel OR titanium. If one was to get hit with one of these, we're talking major bruises or even paralysis(if the club was to make contact with the spine). So, lighten up peoples, golf is a sport. Oh, and I'm not talking about pee-wee golf here.
Badminton
Somewhat like tennis. Except the shuttlecock moves at speeds up to 125mph in championship play. It's pretty safe, depending on if you're playing with the recreation shuttle cock(made of durable plastic with a rubber bottom), or if you are playing with the shuttlecocks played in championship games (made of tough plastic with attached feathers for speed). Either way, if you're playing, you are burning calories of some sort, and badminton IS considered a sport.
Swimming
Swimming........Don't we all love to swim? Just a couple of years ago, I didn't know how to swim. It was pure misery, especially one time in my 5th grade class when the whole class went to a waterpark for the last day of school. I didn't know how to swim, so I couldn't enjoy the fun. Except for that one game of pee-wee golf where I won everyone. But anyways, I couldn't swim. But just recently, after learning how to swim, I spent more time playing around in my home swimming pool and at my sports club, entered contests or swimathons or whatever you call them and stayed cool.... away from the summer's heat!!!
Mountain Biking/Hiking
Now, if you know me, you wouldn't think I'm the kind of person which bikes on rough trails down the mountaintops, "it's just not Dean." Well, you're wrong. I love riding places with my mountain bike, I even had a recent upgrade to it, I had super shock-absorbing thingies installed onto it. And then there's hiking. Now I don't mean climbing Mt. Everest or Mt. McKinley, just the normal type of hiking people would do. I just love the thrilling and exhilarating feeling you get when you're probably at least 700ft. higher than most other people. Now, I'd have to admit, this is no sport, this is an EXTREME sport.
Computers
For those who know me, I also spend SOME time(not my entire day, only some time) on the computer. I might be checking/writing emails or chatting with pals over AIM/ICQ, or even creating/updating my webpage. Either way, I am not a computer nerd as someone I know once called me.
