A.M. an Osprey on the nest presumably different from the one I saw escorting a Red-tailed Hawk off the premises.

11:50 F sitting low in the nest. 12:14 M flew overhead N->S w/fish in talons. M flew directly to the nest & F rose from the nest bowl, took the fish & flew S toward the 2 small islands & OOS. M lowered himself into the nest bowl to incubate.

In Newmarket, second hand report that the Osprey on the platform just south of Vols Island survived an extreme ride during the storm.

16:55 F is perched high on the nest; M is preening on the platform's perch stick. M made a quick aerial tour of the nearby marsh & field before returning to the perch. F preening on side of the nest. M left the perch & landed atop F for a copulation attempt then flew off to the W.

15:20 From Bay Rd, observed one osprey standing on the nest. From that distance it appeared to be a female. No males in sight; none in the surrounding trees. Driving further down Bay Rd observed two osprey "fishing" at the mouth of Lubberland Creek.
Possibly males associated with pole nest platform?

P.M. I saw the osprey back on the nest platform on the TNC/Pearson property just south of Voles Island.
