practically the same with added pictures since I got some

Nice site. I met Jeff when he played minor league ball at
Boardwalk and Baseball (Haines City, FL) in the
late '80's. I use to be the home team bat boy and he
always took the time to talk and play pepper. See you have
cards, I got some minor league cards of Jeff (and a bat)
autographed.

The first time I met Jeff was when I moved to Corona, CA in
1986. I was looking for a place to play racquetball and went
to the Tournament House in Riverside, CA. The owner said
I've got someone for you to play and pointed to the glass
court. Jeff was practicing and then proceeded to whoop my
ass. I joined the club and played Jeff a few mores times
over the next few years. Jeff would leave to go play minor
league baseball and the day he would come back he would be
the best racquetball player arou

Looking for information about Jeff Conine. My wife, who
graduated from Bass High School, Atlanta in 1957, showed
me a picture of a classmate of that year who looks
surprisingly like Jeff. We were just wondering if it could
be a father, uncle or and grandparent? Any information
would be helpful. I cannot seem to find any real biography

You should see Jeff play racquetball. In his prime he would
play a few months a year and compete against the top ten
pros in the world. He was clocked hitting a racquetball
over 175 mph. Thats harder than anyone in the sport.
I have played a lot of handball with Jeff's father Jerry.
He is a great guy as well.

He has been the face of the Marlins for as long as I can

Jeff has been my favorite player forever. I have known him
for some time thru events at the Joe DiMaggio Childrens
Hospital. My mom works there and we do a lot of volunteer
work. I also volunteer for the Conine Golf Tournament.
This year my mom bought us season Marlin tickets so we have
been to a lot of games. I am so glad Jeff is back with the
Marlins and that we get to see him play.
Question - looks like it has been some since his personal
info has been updated. Is there a reason for that?

some day that some kids will look up to me as well.

Hi,
thanks for having this page on the net. I know, that Jeff
Conine deserves it. I follow him since the inauguration of
the Florida Marlins. He is the real baseball player. His
attitude, his demenour, his work ethics and his hard play
for the team, day in and day out, is what makes him
outstanding. On top of that, he is just a nice person. He
deserves the two rings he owns. Hopefully, he will get a
third one.
I enjoyed seeing him to be voted 'Most valuable Player' of
the All-Star-Game, when he belted the game winning home-
run. He sure is deserving of the honour. Let's see what
the 2004 season brings. In my opinion, he should hit
higher in the order. Give him a chance, and he will come
through.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Dear Jeff: Did you know that down here in Hollywood where I
live MR. Marlin has a wing of the local hospital, Memorial
Hospital named after Jeff Conine, called Conine's Clubhouse
for Kids! It is for kids with Cancer and their folks as
they recover from this deadly disease. He is truly a Very
Special Person!!!He is always giving his time for worthy
causes! A true class act!!!
He has always been a favorite of mine for many years.
Starting back in 1993 when we got him from the Kansas City
Royals in the Expansion Draft.Jeff is the epitome of class
and so different than most Major League Players!!
It was no mistake when his locker was placed right next to
A.J. Burnett's locker in the Marlins Clubhouse!
I can see the change in A.J. since he has matured a bit
more as he learns from class guys like Jeff! I pray the
Marlins let him retire as a Marlin. He is after all named
Mr. Marlin!! This could be his last year? But I hope he
stays a few more years in his clubhouse leader role as a
Marlin. God willing, health wise, he has a few more good
years left. Nice fan page by the way Jeff. Please keep up
the good work. Peace! Go Marlins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff Conine is a great guy. I'm 27 now, but when I was a
kid I used to go to many Omaha Royals games. Jeff was
injured for a while and watched the games in the stands. I
went and sat next to him and he chatted with me the entire
game. I know now that this was probably not his idea of a
great time (sitting next to a 12 year old fan for 3 hours),
but he was great. He talked me the entire time and signed
about 20 baseball cards for me. He's a great guy!

Hey
Jeff!
Remember me from your freshman year at UCLA?
We lived on the same floor in the dorm.
Glad to see you made it happen, becoming a pro baseball
player.

Dear Jeff:
Thanks for the great baseball memories you have given me
here in Florida. You are the pillar of everything good in
baseball, South Florida, and Weston. Hopefully you and
your family are staying in town, in spite of the move to
Baltimore. I am looking forward to seeing you play in
Ft. Lauderdale during spring training, and maybe I'll have
to go over to Tampa to see you when your visiting the Devil
Rays.
Next week I'm getting together with one of my baseball
buddies to check out your new resturant in Sheridan. Wow,
it would be awesome to run into you there!
Best of luck.

I have a 1990 Procard minior league baseball card for Jeff
Conine, when he played for Memphis Chicks. It is in mint
condition. Was wondering if this is something you would
be interested in buying or what it might be worth. It has
been in a plastic protector for the last 15 years.

Hi, I am the creator of this site...I had no idea it was
still available to view online after all these years. But
it's nice to see all these comments in the guestbook. For
all of you who were wondering why the site hasn't been
updated in all this time, it's because I no longer at
access to the tools used ot create the site, nor did the
company offer it's web services anymore. But thanks for
visiting.
Sincerely,
Jeff
PS- I am not Jeff Conine, nor do I have any way of
contacting him. This is just a fan site.

My girlfriend and I (both from the Netherlands) recently
visited an Orioles game and were quick tot nickname
Jeff "Sjefke Konijn" Which is a very old fashioned
sounding Dutch name, phonetically much resambling "Jeff
Conine". Ever since, we have been following his carreer
and like to congratulate him on his Homerrun against the
Angels!
Let's go O's!!!

When Jeff was playing in his first stint as a Fla Marlin,
I had promised my teenage daughter to bring her to a game
on her July birthday. Unfortunately, I had knee
replacement surgery and had to break that birthday
promise. I informed Jeff Conine and he sent my daughter
autographed pics on her next TWO birthdays! Whatta guy!!!!

Hey Jeff I was wondering If your still playing any
racquetball? My name is Brian Zuercher and I heard from
Doug ganim that you used to play a lot and were very good.
I'm an open player thats 21. I go to UC and am a huge Reds
fan. I played out in arizona in 99 for junior nationals
and placed 4th. If your ever down to play some let me know.
Good luck this season!

Jeff Conine is one of the reasons why I became a Marlins
fan. The very first Marlins game was against my childhood
team, the Dodgers, which was televised here in Ft Myers,
Fl. While watching the game and rooting for the Dodgers, I
noticed Jeff Conine and how much stylewise he reminded me
of Steve Garvey, my idol. After that, I was hooked. Still a
Dodger fan, but became a Marlins fan too. But, I was always
reminded how much Conine was like Garvey..Consistent,
sportsmanlike, and unemotional. It will never matter what
team Jeff plays on. He'll always be " Mr. Marlin."

I have an authentic Jeff Conine stitched Jersey from 1996.
It is a number 19 (his original number from his first season
with the Florida Marlins and the first world series in 97),
perfect conidition autographed. I am trying to see how much
it is worth and if anyone would like to buy it. My mother
delivered his sick baby and he brought us down on the field
and autographed my jersey. I figure it might be worth a bit
since he is the only original marlin from the inaugural
season that one the world series in both 1997 and then 2003.

because he was the most talented but because he put more

I am trying to get a baseball signed by Jeff for my son
which Jeff tossed to him at a game about 4 years ago. I
have traveled to different games he has played in and have
had no luck in getting the ball signed. Do you have any
suggestions on how I might get it signed. I live in Oregon
so I don't want to spend much more money traveling to far.

GRACIAS

Went to your restaurant in Hwd last night. Bad experience.
We eat out 2/3 wk. Wife described it as "Worst meal ever".
To much pepper corn in tuna, food warm (not hot) when
served. Waitress looked like she should be in a strip club.
Very disappointed. We love you Mr marln, but thought you
should know about your restarant. Wont go back.
