Uncle Wang follows the official rules
of Chinese Chess (xiangqi) per the
Asian Xiangqi Federation. It's
the only program to score 100% correct
on the 106 examples contained in the
official rule book.
Don't take our word for it. Test Uncle
Wang yourself. Put the program on level
8. Set up any position. Then continually
switch sides with Uncle Wang so that
you can force it to play a particular
sequence of moves. Uncle Wang will
never allow you to continue an illegal
chasing sequence but will always allow
you to continue a legal one--no matter
how tricky the situation.
Try this with any other Chinese Chess
(xiangqi) program, and you will be
disappointed!
Uncle Wang's mastery of the rules is so
accurate that you simply won't find a better
tournament referee when it comes to deciding
the legality of a sequence of moves.
